  • The critical principle. Optimize foundational data quality and structure before chasing the next insight. Reliable structure ensures insights are always reliable.
• Semantic Models > Dashboards
  • Prioritize explicit, code-based definitions of business metrics over simple visualizations.
• Agents require clean Signals
  • AI agents are only as good as their input; the feature layer must provide a structured, high-signal environment.
• Architecture must reflect product reality
  • The data model evolves to map the product's actual usage, modular schema allows fast execution of new features.

Key Concept Defined: The Semantic Layer This layer sits between the clean, modeled data and every consumer (dashboards, agents, APIs). It is the single source of truth for all business definitions, ensuring every team and application speaks the exact same data language.
